Sanae Dekomori is a main character exclusive to the anime adaptation of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions. She is often at odds with Shinka Nibutani, who she does not believe to be the real Mori Summer. She often ends her sentences with 'desu', emphasizing it to make it sound more like 'death'. She comes from a very rich family and tends to behave normally around her classmates, she is a superb student.

- Almost at the end of S1, Dekomori thought that her Master(Rikka) was reciprocating her love, but it turned out that she was being rejected, she had to be comforted by Shinka.
- While being drunk she kissed Shinka in the first OVA, and of course she blushed hard and tried to pointlessly deny that she liked it.
- In episode 4 of S2, Dekomori realized that Shinka was the true Mori Summer and reacted accordingly.
- When Shinka went to a school trip with the rest of the group, and she called her, she expected Shinka to be calling her because she missed her or something.
- In episode 8 of S2, she was saved from a lesbian stalker by Shinka, at the end of the episode is acknowledged by the rest of the cast that her first kiss was her kiss in the OVA with Shinka.
- She was mad that Shichimiya was trying to steal Shinka from her.
- In the second OVA, when she and Shinka realized that the more 2 people fight, the more they love each other, they immediately realized it was their case.
