Anthy Himemiya is a protagonist of the animated television series Shōjo Kakumei Utena (Revolutionary Girl Utena). She is a quiet teenage girl who acts cheerful and shares little about herself. Anthy is the Rose Bride, which means she is engaged to the student that wins her in a duel and does whatever they ask. She is engaged to Utena Tenjou, the other protagonist, for the majority of the series.
The Duelists that fight to possess her all have differing opinions on her: Utena firmly insists that Anthy's just a regular girl, while Miki Kaoru sees a 'shining thing' in her that he lost in his childhood, Juri Arisugawa believes Anthy's manipulating them into the duels, and Kyouichi Saionji believes she's a passive doll without feelings. As the series progresses, it becomes apparent that Anthy is more than she seems, and that peoples' suspicion of her is not necessarily unfounded.
